I'm re-applying as a pre-school teacher, (after being put in cat 4 limbo as a primary teacher!), however, I've discovered that I'm short of points under the new points system. If you mean the new points system proposed for 1 July 2011 there will be no points (or reduction of points) for 'family' subclass 176 sponsorship and the published qualifying points score is referred to as 'expected'. If the DIAC run true to recent form you can count on them to pull the rug from under you at the last moment. I suggest you run your case past a registered migration agent to develop a strategy.
