Guest LeaB
We have 110V power tools that are used on English construction sites. Could someone please tell me what the voltage is on Australian construction sites and if the ones I have will work there? Thanks in advance. Guest carpenter
Hi, There were some threads about a month or so ago. As far as I can recall the concensus was that 110v tools were more or less unheard of, and that Aussie sites only accept 240V power tools that have a factory fitted plug. I have just shipped some tools over- including a couple of 110v items, but I also packed a transformer- my logic was that I may not be able to use them on sites but I could still use them at home. This may not be the news you wanted to hear.....but I hope it helps you make your decision. I know it's a real bummer since you get diddley squat selling your tools of second hand. Have a look through past threads.
Guest oz migration
Hi Leab 110 V is not the usual as it is 240 V. However, you can buy generators out here very cheaply with 110/240 option or ship one from the UK, might be a better option.
