SS question

Just something I have been thinking about. My family have 176's granted and we were sponsored by Northern Territories. However, nowhere on the visa or the letter does it state any condition to stay in NT for any period. Is this normal? We don't have a condition in writing anywhere so not sure what we are obliged to do. Does this mean that our visas AREN'T conditional?

Sorry it's a bit of a vague question that you might not be able to answer.

Two things. First, 175 visas have nothing to do with state or territory sponsorship so you must have received a 176 visa if you say you were sponsored by NT.

Second, there are no conditions whatsoever on the 176 visa, including no condition that you have to live in the state or territory that sponsored you. So you are correct. There are many, many threads on this issue if you do a search, including my fuller legal explanation as to why there is no such legal condition.
