Guest Guest31881
Hi all Planning a move to North Queensland can anyone explain the logistic of buying a used car, budget max $4000? Need rego - can tax, do you have to pay this in a lump sum? You can have 6 or 12 months as you would in Uk, buying 2nd hand may have some rego on it Safety cert? does it need one, Seller has to provide safety certificate not the buyer Cost of stamp duty? Not sure between 5 and 10% I believe Any advice about top up insurance and can you pay monthly for it. The rego gives you basic 3rd party insurance, but does not cover damage to property, so you need to take out a good policy, most companies will allow monthly payments for this. Thanks for any help TT x Hope this helps, if you buy from a dealer look for On the road prices, that means they pay rego and stamp duty, but costs more than a private sale.
