Guest Ian Laverick
Hello simon, I understand that you need a safety certificate of some description. Not sure whereabouts you are planning to go, but this link may help. I'm sure other members can give more info on this .. Need to find out more myself - Joiner planning for queensland early next year. Good Luck mate. Guest Mel n Matt
Hi My oh is also a joiner and we went over the QLD in April for our reccie. We met up with another joiner and there does appear to be a whole host of licences you need to get going but it doesnt seem to be that much of a problem. We will do the full research once we get the TRA sorted. However just as an indication in one newspaper alone there were over 20 advertis for joiners and the QLD area appears to be booming with building work everywhere. We drove around loads of sites and there is a lot of timber structures going up. Dont think its going to be a walk in the park but there is plenty of work! I am sure someone will advise what the equivalent over subbie over there is.
