sallyandkev
Hi. We are going back to the UK on Sunday for a holiday (3 weeks). We want to get some travel insurance for the trip or even better an annual policy as we are going again in November. Companies here seem to require you to be a permanent resident (we are not - on a 457 4 year visa) UK companies (which are SO much cheaper) wont insure us as we Live in Australia. Any ideas anyone...loads of you must have travelled 'home' for a holiday! Thanks Sally
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi Sally Have you got insurance with your bank account/credit card? I know NAB include travel insurance with one of their accounts. Alternatively try going for back packers insurance one such company you could try is: Cheap Backpacker Travel Insurance UK - Downunder Insurance Kate
Guest HPRYCE
We had the same issue when we went back to the UK last June. I eventually found a company that confirmed in writing that we were eligable for their insurance despite the fact we were 457 visa holders. They are www.worldcare.com.au I would suggest that you email them and ask for similar confirmation in writing that you are eligable, as they did with us, just to be on the safe side.
