Guest Gollywobbler
Hi Pluto Yes, there is something that you can do. That something is to relax, please! You have said in an earlier thread that you thought that Hubby would probably nominate Carpenter as his occupation, and that he was 5 points short for a sc 175 visa. This suggests to me that Hubby is 40 or over, because they are the MODL applicants who tend to be 5 points short of 120 points, because of their age? At the moment you are waiting for State sponsorship from WA, in order to apply for an sc 176 visa instead. The passmark for the sc 176 visa is 100 points only and with a State sponsored 176, the State supplies 10 of the points so the applicant only has to find 90 points of his own. Somebody who can score 115 by himself can plainly score 90 by himself as well. The calculation is here: Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176) Therefore even if Carpenter is removed from the MODL, teh MODL is only worth 15 points to Hubby anyway and those 15 points don't matter to him because he is already doing all the right things in order to overcome the problem.
