Guest Vix Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 Hi, Not sure this is much help but....When we were living in Oz my husband had to make regular payments to OZ and he did it through HSBC and they charged 15 quid I think for the exchange... Now we are here though and my mum and family regularly send money for presents for the kids etc ...I kept open my HSBC Bank account and they deposit it in there and I just get it out from a machine this end...The only catch being that you have to roughly guess the amount you want out but you get the hang of it...then you keep tabs on whats going on in the account online. Guest koala12 Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 If u have Commonwealth Bank Accounts in both England and Australia you can transfer sums over £15k between them for nothing but anything under that amount is charged at I think £15 per transaction.
