Guest samjoshua Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 Hi, I'm british and my partner is Australian. We're looking to live in Oz by the end of this year via the spouse visa. Now, my partner is Phillipino by birth but lived in australia since about 4. He is also an Australian Citizen with a full Aussie passport. His mother is also Fillo by birth but now an Australian citizen too. She is however being rather unhelpful regards the whole matter (not answering calls, slow to call back, etc). Bascally, do we need her in any way to get our visa? Is my partners Aussie passport enough to offer the immigration people? If I can get through this process without having to deal with her at all then that would be great:smile:. She's giving me a headache! Thanks lots. ali Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 As far as I'm aware if your partner is an Australian Citizen and you're applying for a spouse visa you won't need anything from his mother in order to apply, but you may want her to do a statement to say how long you've been together etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
