julzcary Posted March 3, 2009 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Hi there, We're just going to be submitting a 176 visa, but am waiting for a suitable vacancy for me to come up at the Council, where they have said they will sponsor me and sort out my visa. If a job came up before our 176 visa came through, could we also get a sponsored visa, but keep the 176 visa running in order to hopefully obtain PR? Also, we have enough points with myself etc without including my OH job (which is a self-employed skill with no formal qualifications). In order not to have to go through his skills assessment, is there any advantage or priority the higher the points you get, or is it that you just have to reach the minimum?
