Guest Nathan & Mandie Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Hi Shaz My OH is also a Toolmaker/Toolroom Supervisor and we have also come unstuck trying to find Toolmaking vacancies. :sad: We too are heading for Melbourne. However, we are going to stay with relatives on arrival who happen to also be in the same industry and they reassure us that there are lots of jobs available. Maybe they are not called Toolmakers in OZ!! As they are on the skills in demand list you think that there would be plentiful. We are hoping to be there in May so we can let you know shortly. Guest fatpom Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Maybe they are not called Toolmakers in OZ!! They are called toolmakers here & there are plenty of jobs for toolmakers. Many companies aren't interested in applicants from different cities within Australia so they're not going to take too much interest in someone from a foriegn country who hasn't arrived yet.
