Hi I have driven in Melbourne with all my jobs and to be honest have found it easy, apart from, driving in the CBD, I must admit I am not one for driving in cities and if I can avoid it I definately will. In Melbourne we have the dreaded hook turn which I think after 4 years I have finally mastered. We also have the tram lines and on my first journey through the city I didn't realise you had to stop to allow pedestrians to cross, gulp. I must admit the way the Melburnians drive has a lot to be desired and I have found that now I am quite an aggressive driver, you have to push in especially when merging on to the highway because drivers will NOT move over for you and if they do then you usually find they are fellow poms.
