Where do i start?!

Hi all,

 

I'm very new to all this.....the wife is doing most of the paperwork/research but thought i'd best get involved at some point (or she nagged me to anyway!)

 

I thought the best idea was just to get a list of things I need to do and work my way down them. Any advice from people who have done this or are in the process of doing this would be greatly appreciated!

Hiya

One thing you can do is search migration agents` websites. Take any free points assessments and find out their charges ( you may not want to use one if it`s very straight forward). Check they`re MARA members. Don`t know how far along you are and probably your OH`s already done it!

Thanks for that.....would you recommend using a visa company? If so, any particular ones that i should speak to/avoid?

That`s a different thread!!

My OH spends weeks researching on tinternet IF he`s interested in something!!

He happens to be dead keen on Oz so he did all the research.

 

I think if you do a site search here you will find feedback on the agents, and the same names seem to crop up again and again. we used a specialist in IT cos that`s the occupation we`re hoping to get in on.

If I find a thread I`ll pass it on.

I'll call a couple this week I think....i think we've got a pretty simple case but always good to get as much info as you can!
