wheezie Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 hi, we have permanent residents visas (BN136). we arrived in Feb 2008. My little boy's dad (my ex) also came so that he could be near his son. he is on a student visa as he cannot get work here. I know that after a certain period of time my son can sponsor his dad to remain here permanently. but do we have to have Australian citizenship for that or stay here a certain amount of time before we can do this. if so how long?
