Think Cornwall without the people, history and infrastructure. (Although it is getting busier). Good for young kids. Not an awful lot to do for the older ones unless they are sporty. Especially water sports. Not sure what the schools are like. A lot of infrastructure like university, complicated hospital treatment are three hours drive in Perth. But it is a lovely spot.
