MajHam Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Can anyone please tell me if Bridging Visa A can come with work rights if applying for the visa following a Working Holiday Visa SC147? I’ve spoken to a couple of visa agents, one who advised that the same rights as the WHV would apply and another advised there would be no work rights unless the applicant applied for work rights under hardship and this was approved. I understand this approval is difficult though. Thanks in advance. Quote
Tulip1 Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I’d suggest you speak with a MARA registered agent, there are several excellent ones on here) I notice your signature says you have a 143 parent visa? Quote
MajHam Posted December 21, 2023 Author Posted December 21, 2023 I’ve spoken to two registered migration agents and they have given me differing answers . I was hoping someone who has experienced this or one of the migration experts on the forum might advise me which is correct. We will go ahead with a migration agent for the application as we have done before. My husband and I did get out parent visa a few years ago. Now looking into this visa for a family member. Quote

MajHam Posted May 23, 2024 Author Posted May 23, 2024 (edited) Hi So my relative has now put in the application onshore for RRV subclass 835. I don’t think goal posts have changed as someone is either last remaining family member or not. FYI though…Bridging Visa A was issued with work rights but also with Condition no working for more than 6 months for any 1 employer. On WHV I understand that on a 2nd/3rd WHV that this resets and I’ can’t see how this could be applied on bridging visa. Also the WHV allows working for same employer for more than 6 months in certain work areas e.g. healthcare and tourism, but again I’m not sure if this would be allowed on bridging. It’s possible to apply to have the condition removed from BVA. Edited May 23, 2024 by MajHam Quote
