  1. I’ve spoken to two registered migration agents and they have given me differing answers . I was hoping someone who has experienced this or one of the migration experts on the forum might advise me which is correct. We will go ahead with a migration agent for the application as we have done before. My husband and I did get out parent visa a few years ago. Now looking into this visa for a family member.
  2. Can anyone please tell me if Bridging Visa A can come with work rights if applying for the visa following a Working Holiday Visa SC147? I’ve spoken to a couple of visa agents, one who advised that the same rights as the WHV would apply and another advised there would be no work rights unless the applicant applied for work rights under hardship and this was approved. I understand this approval is difficult though. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi, My husband and I arrived in Australia on Visitor Visa subclass 4/4/18. We had to go back to the UK and arrived back in Australia with PR 22/11/20. Does the time spent in Australia on the 600 visa count as residency for the citizenship application? I am aware of taking into account time spent out of Australia. I’ve seen this asked before and it seems that it would be counted but I would really appreciate it if anyone who has gone through the process taking into account visitor visa time or has knowledge of the system to confirm this for me. Many thanks Marjorie
  4. Thanks for this. You have been very helpful. I think you are right that when we get to Australia we should use a company familiar with taxation both countries so @Alan Collett I may well be in touch!
  5. Hi all. Heading to WA later this month now that we’ve been granted our 143. I wonder if anyone who has made the move can advise what we might need to re taxation. We will still have a rental property in the UK. I believe I have to complete paperwork to avoid double taxation but I think I read something about having to have UK property valued for the purposes of Australian tax? If anyone has experience of this and can advise...great. If not I’ll see tax advisor when we get to Australia. Just wondered if anyone knows if there is anything I should do before we leave.
  6. Woohoo......visas granted! I can’t update the tracker. Perhaps someone could do that for me? The very best of luck to everyone waiting. I really really hope things are starting to move. The stress is unbearable at times and as the department tell you nothing this forum has been the only way to find out what’s going on. Thanks to everyone on here.
  7. 100% it’ll need to be business class as we want to go as soon as possible. We were there for quite some time on 600 visa and then had to leave our rental, dog, new granddaughter and the rest of our family as time ran out on our 600 visa.... and then there has been the COVID delays. Been away almost a year and just need to get back as soon as!
  8. Hi. Thank you. In our case there was no queuing so we didn’t hear anything until case officer asked for further documents which was January this year. I’m not sure what happens within the queuing process which I understand has been introduced for applications from some time in 2018 (I think). I’m sure there are others on the forum who can advise on this point. Also not sure if there have been recent changes with AOS. Someone will know though!
  9. Thank you. We are good to go as soon as we can get a flight.....it’s just finding one!
  10. Well I said yesterday that tomorrow it could be any of us and two of us were indeed lucky today. So fingers crossed for more good news tomorrow! It could be you
