K&M
Our visa was granted in November2020. We have flights booked for September. Do we need an exception certificate ? or are we automatically exempt? Advice from anyone who has recently travelled to Australia on a 143 visa would gratefully appreciated.
VERYSTORMY
You don't need an exemption as it is a permanent visa. However, do be aware that you will be undertaking two weeks hotel quarantine on arrival and that many people have had flights cancelled at last minute by airlines. Though it seems business and first class holders tend to be ok.
paulhand
As mentioned you don’t need a travel exemption … but there’s plenty of paperwork to be completed at a Commonwealth and, often, a state level (as well as for the transit location in some instances) before you get on the plane so you should do your homework before turning up at the airport.
