adam.s
Hi there, I was wondering, after completion of a PGCE, does anyone know if any experience teaching/working as teaching is required or can you apply for a 189/190 visa straight away? Looking at the ANZSCO skill assessment it doesn't say anything about experience. I understand they are points-based so it could help but it is strictly required? Any info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
wrussell
Without claiming work experience you might find it difficult to meet the points criterion.
LandM
Linked to this - I have been a teacher for 16 years but in the last 18m have become a teacher trainer - teaching secondary teachers of the pgce course. Does anyone know if this is a problem for gaining a visa linked to me as a ‘secondary teacher’?
