Lucy Colenutt
Hi Everyone, Would anyone be able to advise websites to search for short term rentals when first moving to Australia. Not looking for shared accommodation. Is it a case of just renting a holiday home as if you were going on holiday. Also what do most people do before looking for a more permanent rental? 1-2 months? Thanks Lucy
calNgary
Stayz.com has always been quite popular and some use Air BnB, but a google search for Holiday accommodation or short term accommodation should also throw up some sites. Another option is a cabin in a holiday park, this can work well if you have kids as there is normally a pool and playground on site. 4 weeks seems to be the average for a stay as this gives you time to check out areas, find a rental etc. Cal x
Bran
We’re using Air BnB on arrival for 2 months, to give us time to find a suitable rental. We do have 2 cats following after us though, and would’ve done 1 month if not for them [emoji250]It is expensive though (is there any other option?), and one good bit of advice is to make sure the owner is happy for you to use their address for mail initially since we’d be setting up Medicare etc..
