Partner Posted November 20, 2018 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Hi all, I'm based in Sydney right now. Earlier I was in UAE and got my driver's license in 2011 which has my father's name on it. Now after marriage, all my documents have my husband's name on them. My full name hasn't changed - it's just that in place of father's name, now there's husband's name. I've got my learner's license here in Sydney. However, the guy at Service NSW told me to get a confirmation from the licensing department in Abu Dhabi that the UAE license belongs to me, because of the change from father to husband's name. Is there any female here who has been throguh the same? Who exactly did you contact in Abu Dhabi and what did you ask for? How long did it take for the confirmation to come?
