I did some more research and turns out that website is a scam. There goes my money! And all the time it took to fill the application over and over! Hope nobody else falls for this! *smh*

Hello members! Now that I'm eligible to apply for an Australian citizenship, I downloaded the application form from the website https://www.auimmigration.net/ by paying a fee of $160. I've just realized that I could've filled the application directly from my immi account. Have I made a grave mistake? Has anyone done the same? If I continue to fill my application through https://www.auimmigration.net/, how much remaining amount do I have to pay? And if I start a new application through my immi account what's the cost? Would highly appreciate quick response! TIA

Hi all, I'm based in Sydney right now. Earlier I was in UAE and got my driver's license in 2011 which has my father's name on it. Now after marriage, all my documents have my husband's name on them. My full name hasn't changed - it's just that in place of father's name, now there's husband's name. I've got my learner's license here in Sydney. However, the guy at Service NSW told me to get a confirmation from the licensing department in Abu Dhabi that the UAE license belongs to me, because of the change from father to husband's name. Is there any female here who has been throguh the same? Who exactly did you contact in Abu Dhabi and what did you ask for? How long did it take for the confirmation to come? Looking forward to answers. Thanks

Hi all! My parents will be visiting Sydney from Pakistan in April 2017. I am planning to apply for their visa from Sydney, but I'm a little confused as to the visa subclass and documents required. If there's anyone out there who has recently applied for a visa on their parents' behalf, please walk me through me through the process. Also let me know how long it took for the visa to be granted. Thank you. No, I didn't apply online. I lodged my application through Gerry's on 27th June 2014. Does anybody have any idea what the deal is about taking wood Australia? I wouldn't have a lot of wooden stuff but maybe a tray or two.

Alhamdulillah I received my visa grant on 19th January. So it took nearly 6.5 months for the whole process. I hope all those waiting for the grant get the good news soon inshaAllah. Good luck!

Wsalam Muhammad, When was your interview conducted? I received the call just 2 days back, so I'm hoping to hear some good news by the end of this month inshaAllah. Like you said, may Allah grant us patience and do whatever is best for us.

Also, does the visa tracking number on the receipt show anything apart from "Application received at the Australian High Commission in Islamabad on (date)" for anyone?

It's surprising to learn that AHC can be so irresponsible. I have heard other similar incidents as well. My PCC from Khi and UAE will be expiring soon by the end of Dec and I haven't received any mail from AHC if I should provide a new one.

Congrats on the grant.. But 9 months sounds like a long time.. I know that's the standard but I've heard that people usually get it within 4-6months. Let's hope for the best. But the AHC hasn't even contacted my husband for any inquiry.. After how long did your wife receive the second call?

I received the Interview call abt 3weeks ago but I wasn't home and couldn't get somewhere to talk in peace soon so I asked the lady to call me back the next day. The next day I only received a mail from AHC to send my pictures (evidence, which I had earlier sent in a cd) in PDF format which I did right away. Haven't heard from them since then.. Could the AHC become suspicious that I did not take the call the first time. Getting worried and anxious with every passing day!

I was asked to send the Polio Vaccination Certificate a couple of days ago, which I have sent already. Is this the last step before visa grant? On an average how long does it take after this step for the good news?

Hi, I'm sure this has been discussed earlier, but I wanted to know what's the deal with form 80? I mean when do they ask for it? Now that I have received my PCCs from UAE and USA, should I send them to AHC along with form 80 without them asking for it?
