Janeydv
Hi, We were getting ready to move this year as we validated our visa and we have to be in oz by March 2019. In the meantime, my last remaining parent has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She’s undergoing palliative chemo and is responding very well but I obviously have no idea how long she’s got left. Has anyone been given an extention in these types of situations? I can’t leave her yet if we miss our chance we won’t get another. I can’t find any information in relation to extenuating circumstances on any of the visa websites. Any help would be appreciated xx
VERYSTORMY
I am afraid they don't give extensions as such, but they would take it into account in applying for a resident return visa.
Guest
VS is probably right but honestly, if this is your one and only chance to migrate I'd be asking a decent agent and ensuring I knew the ins and outs and the possible down sides etc to be fully informed as to how things may stand for you.
