iqra ammad Posted December 6, 2017 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Hello guys can you please help me to choose between visa 189 and visa 489 invited pathway .My husband is a primary applicant done his bachelors in Electronic Engineering and has experience of 8 years.We decided to move to Australia but there is a confusion between these two visas.Our motive is just to go to Australia and settled there.189 is a better option but if we get extra points from 489 visa than why not choose this instead of 189.We have 60 points for visa 189 but want to increase the chances of our application to be approved we decided to choose visa 489. kindly help me on this.Tell me the pros and cons of both visas additionally what you guys think is a better option for this scenario as have our 2 years old twin babies too. VERYSTORMY Posted December 6, 2017 Share Posted December 6, 2017 A 489 is not a permanent visa and in order for it to become permanent you need to fulfill the requirements of living in a regional area for 2 years and working in a regional area for 1 year.
