My occupation has been taken off the list for state sponsorship-Options

My role of chemist was most recently taken off the skilled occupation list for state sponsorship for Victoria for subclass 190, I have a few questions about my options

 

1. What is the likely hood this will return to the list?

2.What about company sponsorship visas?

3. Any advice on re skilling for an occupation that's in demand but doesn't require a lot of experience 

 

Any hope or advice at all would be appreciated, thanks

Hi George, the list changes quite a bit so if you re-skill to another occupation and get all the necessary qualifications and experience for it, the list may be different from what it is now. Sorry, it doesn't sound completely hopeful.

what are the chances of my occupation coming back on it?

Probably slim, I would say. Normally when the occupation is taken off the list that means that there is a good supply of that particular skill in the area. If it's delisted from the VIC list, maybe look at other states?

As someone with a couple of Australian friends who are PhD qualified chemists and whom have spent more of the last few years unemployed than employed, I would say slim in the near future.
