SotonAussie
Hello peoples, My family and I are due to return to the UK at the end of October. I wanted to ask if anyone had transferred their medical insurance back to the UK... I am currently with BUPA here. Any insight gratefully received... Kind Regards Ollie
Phil & Vikki
Not totally sure, but my initial thought would be no. Lots of multi national companies run there separate country operations like separate entities, so a company in one country will not recognise the same company in another country. Guest The Pom Queen
Agree with the above poster they are all run as separate entities, however it may be worth seeing if they would waive any waiting periods
evets
A friend who moved over 2001, who was with Bupa in the UK. Transferred to BUPA AU with no issues, and they covered his pre-existing issues that he was getting treatment for in the UK. Also had no waiting periods when he transferred the cover. Things may have changed, so best to contact BUPA UK direct and discuss.
Rossmoyne
Talking to a new migrant recently, they told me that they could not transfer their BUPA membership from UK to Australia. Not sure how it goes the other way though.
