bristolman Posted March 12, 2017 Share Posted March 12, 2017 When we arrived in the UK we were convinced we would be buying a house somewhere in the SW, Wiltshire, Somerset etc. Completely by accident we found ourselves looking a house in Herefordshire which we totally fell in love with. 5 years on we are just as much in love with the house and the area. Herefordshire has much to recommend it to be honest, beautiful countryside, very low population density so traffic jams are virtually unheard of, wonderful local produce especially beef. Your house buying money goes much further in this part of the country and being in the Midlands you are well placed to go virtually anywhere else in the country with ease.
