KangaKit
Hello, I will be applying (invitation pending of course!) for a 189 visa, I have my English test booked for this month, then skills assessment and APHRA registration. My question is when is the earliest that I could take the medicals? I'm a bit anxious as my husband has had a heart attack so quite keen if at all possible to get the medicals under way as soon as allowed, although am I right in thinking I have to wait until an application is lodged first? I suggest that you obtain professional advice from a registered migration agent before you proceed.
Leanne Stevens
You're right, the visa has to be lodged first before the Department will look at the medical results, even though you can actually undertake the medicals before the visa is lodged.
