Medical history.... possible epilepsy in infant.

Hi,

Hoping people who have gone through the skilled 'permanent' visa process recently can help.

My husband and I are just about to start applying for a visa for ourselves and two girls but we can't find a lot of information about the medical requirements. Do they require a full medical history for everyone and what types of things are acceptable or refused?

We only have minor things eg asthma etc but our toddler has tics which are undiagnosed as anything, may turn out to be epilepsy but dr has told us to make a record and wait and see.

Not sure if we will be accepted if so... any ideas?

Any help appreciated,

Thank you x

I'd speak to a migration agent who specialises in medical issues.

Personally, but I am not an agent, who may say otherwise, I feel if its nothing diagnosed or concrete and there is no treatment plan in place or anything I don't see its anything to report when having a medical. But that is me.

All I can tell you is that my adult daughter who is epileptic had no problem getting a PR visa, can't fault the help and treatment she has had here when needed. do hope the same outcome for you.

All visa applicants, including non-migrating children, have to undertake medical checks. What the medical checks will consist of depends on the age of the applicant (ie: medical checks for children and infants are a lot simpler than the checks for adults).

This link is a good starting point about the medical checks and the health criteria:
