Rather than resigning I'm considering applying for a career break in the first instance. Has anyone got any thoughts or tips? Has anyone got a copy of an application they would be happy to share. Idont know what occupation you are in but as a nurse i just downloaded the application from the intranet and discussed with my manager. I was only granted a year but know you can apply for up to five. The only thing I find is that if you are really homesick , struggling to find work etc it can be so easy to think hey i have a job back home lets just walk back into my old life and i just wonder if I would feel the same without that security.
