aus007
"Due to high levels of demand, the below three occupation groups will be subject to pro rata arrangements to ensure availability of invitations across the programme year: ICT Business and System Analysts Software and Applications Programmers Accountants. " Source : http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil Does this mean it will be harder to migrate(sub class 189/190) if you fall under those occupation lists and also will it be harder to get a job for those occupations ? MaggieMay24
The pro rata occupations will still receive invitations, but they are spread out over the full year to avoid them all being used up within the first few months. This does mean that if you have 60 points, you may continually be overtaken in the queue by later applicants who have higher points. So in that regard, it makes the invitation process more difficult. Once invited, you would be granted a visa as long as you meet the criteria. I can't comment on the job market, but there certainly do seem to be a lot of unemployed accountants from everything I've heard.
