anna86
Hi, I've been working as a doctor in NSW for 2 years and am currently getting ready to apply for skilled 189 visa. As I have only worked for 2 years in the UK and 2 years in Australia, I need to sit the IELTS to get enough points to apply. For a skilled visa do I need to sit the general or academic test? Thanks, Anna
Sina
Hi Anna, Either the Academic or General versions of IELTS test are acceptable to the DIBP. Kind Regards, Sina
Alan Collett
Hi Anna. Consider also alternatives to IELTS - I hear good things about the Pearson test: http://pearsonpte.com/ For background on the DIBP website: https://www.border.gov.au/Lega/Lega/Form/Immi-FAQs/aelt Best regards.
