thekevjones Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 I am applying for a skilled - independent (migrant) visa (subclass 175) The DIAC website states on fee and charges: 1st instalment - $2060 2nd instalment - $2860 I was aware of the 1st one but the 2nd was a surprise. I am the main sponsor and plan to go with my wife and son (6 months old) It seems that the 2nd payment/charge is only for dependents aged 18 yrs or over. Guest heieup Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 It is only for dependants over 18 who don't speak the minimum level of english (for some training I believe) the detail is buried in the immi.gov.au site somewhere if you can be bothered to look for it.
