Guest
Yes no problem taking PS4 in hand luggage, my son took his Wii. As far as I know knives are okay in hand luggage - it may depend on the length of the blade/type of knife - need to check the legality in Dubai & Australia. This link might give you a start for Australia https://independentaustralia.net/politics/politics-display/australias-unfair-knife-laws,5860 And for Dubai http://www.dubai-online.com/essential/customs/ - looks like you need to declare them. Be very careful regarding any medicines in Dubai as lots of medicines legal over the counter in the UK are illegal and can land you 5 years in prison. We had a terrible experience there. I would absolutely take a prescription though even if they are allowed (which I expect they are but not prepared to guess!)

Keith and Linda
Yes sorry I did mean checked luggage! Would also advise to declare them on arrival at customs too, they just might want to check that they are not weapons as in martial arts type. make sure you throw away all fresh fruit and declare all food stuffs -anything that you put in your mouth - declare it, customs guys like you more and are a lot nicer to you if you declare and let them decide what is ok.
