Which ANZSCO code for ANMAC?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are planning to apply for a 189. I'm preparing my paperwork for ANMAC but unsure which ANZSCO code to use?

I'm a registered mental health nurse but didn't practice- I instead topped up to a degree (Health visiting) and have been a HV for 2 years. Therefore, do I use code RN (NEC) on the basis that HV's don't really exist in the same way in Australia or do I use RN child and family health?

thank you

My migration agent told me it wouldn't really make a difference. I am newly qualified, working in A&E - I wasn't sure whether to go for NEC as I have no post-grad qualifications in emergency, but migration agent ended up putting it through for the code of Critical care & Emergency. I got ANMAC within 4 working days!

  • 1 year later...

Hi all,

I know this thread is over a year old but I am really hoping for some valuable advice please.

I am wanting to soon lodge EOI once having done IELTS.

My questions are basically around points!  I am a paeds degree trained nurse who then did the SCPHN HV post grad.

SO when lodging points would the work experience be based on if I am applying as a paeds nurse or as a child and family nurse or can it be both?  Do they look under the ANMAC and APHRA code you are applying for visa under and base it on that code?  For example, if I applied under child and family health nurse route, would only my experience as an HV been included and none of my clinical experience as a paeds nurse?  Also wondering can the full time paid training year doing health visiting course count?    Obviously I am after points and wondering what is the best way to go about this in order to try and obtain a 189 PR visa.

Thank you.
