Karmann22
I am a UK based and educated Registered Nurse with a Post Graduate Certificate in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) and i would love to move to Australia and work as a Nurse. I have in principle AHPRA registration already and i wondered if anybody had any suggestions/advice on how to secure sponsorship please?
Becks22
They are currently recruiting in Melbourne and Western Oz, but not sure if they are sponsoring. Check the rcnbulletin. If you already have AHPRA then you would likely make it through assessment for independent skilled migration (189) which might be easier than trying sponsorship. I'm off to Adelaide and aware they are not offering sponsorship at present.
globetrotters2014
So has sponsorship dried up generally in most states for now?
ali
So has sponsorship dried up generally in most states for now? I think some private hospitals and agencies might. I know in WA job adverts started to appear saying that preference would be given to Citizens and PR holders. I know that there is also in WA with my own authority to only employ 75% substantively and the other 25% on contracts To the OP - seek and jobs WA are the sites for the West Coast
Ciaran Durkin
We do have Australian employers who are currently recruiting and sponsoring on a 457 visa, were you looking for a community nursing post? It will largely depend on when you would be able to relocate and which locations you would consider?
