francy Posted January 28, 2016 Share Posted January 28, 2016 We are on my husbands 489 visa which was issued October 2014, we arrived in oz March 2015. Come April he will of completed 12 months in his skilled job field. After 2 yrs we can apply for residency. Is it 2 yrs from the visa issue or entry into Oz? So when you are ready to apply, look backwards 2 years and you must have been living in a regional area and working full-time at least 1 year in a regional area.
