Guest
Most of the large shipping companies will ship a few boxes but you could be waiting months for them as it will be a shared container. Move cube may be an option if you have enough for one of those, otherwise Sevenseas get a mention quite often. If it is a very small amount then the Excess Baggage Company may be worth looking at or even Australia Post. Coming out we sent some things that missed the sahippers via a frieght forwarder - you do have to collect from the airport yourself but that was £150 for two bikes and two tea chests (in 2008)

Can you ditch the tat and fit it into a suitcase? When we looked it wasn't cost effective.

If you're not in a hurry this is a cost effective option for small shipments (that you don't want to take as excess baggage). Timescales can vary depending on if you're the first customer that books space in a container, or the last as there will be a period of time where the moving company has to sell the rest of the space and collect all the shipments, but if you call a few up they will be able to tell you when their next container might be scheduled to leave so you can get a better idea of the timescale.
