racht
Hi folks! Wondered if anyone could advise... We want to submit our visa application before 1 July (new prices) but cant get an IELTS test done before then. Next date for IELTS is 12 July. Can you submit visa with IELTS pending or not? Thanks Rachael
SOMV
Hello Racht, If the main applicant is a passport holder from one of the following countries, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America and the Republic of Ireland, then you do not need an IELTS result in order to make a valid application. I am assuming you are sitting the exam to get the additional 10 points? In which case you simply need to have it before a decision is made, so yes you can apply for the visa before the IELTS. Personally, unless you are about to lose points for your age, I would wait until the IELTS has been successfully received to avoid putting too much pressure on yourself/the main applicant. Best of luck!
racht
Thanks Veronika - need to re-check points, but think my hubby has 120 without it or 130 with it, just were going to do it as a belt and braces measure
theowens
Hi SOMV, How do you submit the visa application though if you want to include IELTS (for the extra 10 points) - see attachment "IELTS.jpg", the only option is "Yes or No" and if you select Yes you have to provide the IELTS details there and then whereas if you select No then you dont get the extra 10 points - see attachment "Points result.jpg" Has anybody actually submitted a visa application, requesting the 10 points extra but having not yet taken the test?
