Brummy
Hi, Does anybody here work in a childcare profession using a UK qualification? If so, would you be able to shed some light on how things work here, and which qualifications are recognised and accepted here? Thank you.
Ken
I don't know the answer but I'll give this a push for you in the hope it gets more replies. The obvious answer is that no UK childcare qualification will be recognised in Australia. Your best hope (if you're set on doing your training in the UK) is to find a UK qualification that an Australian RTO will accept as prior education and will give you an Australian qualification with the minimum of retraining (and expense). Many UK qualifications (including teaching and also child care) are recognised here, they have to be assessed though to determine the appropriate level at which they match and if any extra training is needed or not..
