Gemble29
Hello, hoping someone can advise on what bank to use when my Husband and I go out to Oz at the end of November. Initially for a year. Can anyone recommend what bank/s are good based on rates of transferring money across accounts, rates to pay for the account? There may also be other things to think about in order to make the decision that we haven't yet thought of. Many thanks in advance. Gemma
CaptainC
I'll move this post to Money and Finance. But I'll recommend NAB personally and you can open the account up to 12 months before you migrate, make deposits and collect your cards on arrival. flatpack
I use NAB but I only picked them because I thought the name accurately what banks do you your money. All banks piss in the same pot, they all over the same services, they all make a lot of money off the back of their customers. All banks have people who think they're great and people that think their leaches.

Wan2go
I was in Barclays yesterday and was told that they have an 'alliance' with Westpac - apparently you can do all sorts of things with your Barclays account via Westpac - no other details unfortunately........ Hardsuction
Hi, we have used NAB, very good, in conjunction with Moneycorp, neither charge you to send or receive money.
