Pommie
Hi Melanie When I was in Oz I was with ANZ and then NAB. If I am honest, I don;t think there is much between them (in general they all charge you for the courtesy of using the money you have in your account and then charge you $2 to withdraw money from a cash machine if it isn't there cash machine (no Link system like in the UK). When I return, I will probably go back to NAB as they had a policy of being the most competitive of the big 4 banks on mortgages, etc. But do shop around.... NAB has the least mortgage exposure of the big 4 banks, which may be a good thing if there is a housing crash.... i.e. your money may be safer.... Bungo
Hi All, Still trying to decide who to open a bank account with in Brisbane. ANZ/NAB/Commenwealth/Westpac - which are better and offer the best incentives? Help!!!! Much of a muchness. There is no best bank in Australia any more than there is inUK. Just pick one, no need to overthink this decision.
Suzukiscottie
Just pick one with the lowest/zero fees. It's a bank; it's probably not going to make a huge difference to how you live your life.
Alan Collett
http://www.infochoice.com.au/ A possible resource to help you in your deliberations. Remember also that the NAB is a generous sponsor of this website ... Best regards.
