Kbobs
Hi did any of you hire a private tutor to help prepare for the IELTS test? and if so do you recommend getting one or just using the information online. Thanks
Mazza227
My husband used one for the writing part. He needed 8's and didn't quiite get there twice so we found an ex-examiner to mark a couple of essays and gave comments on where he could improve. After that he got the 8 he needed, so yes we would definitely recommend a little help if you're struggling.
steely
I didn't hire a tutor, but I am not sure it would have helped. I practiced quite a lot though, iincluding from books bought online. I took the test twice but didnt score the 8 (in every component) that I needed. I then took the PTE Academic, which I passed first time. Have you considered the PTE Academic, or is it not an option for you?
