There is no way we could have replaced the stuff for the money. I wouldn't bother with the car as you will get much more here for the £6k it is worth. How did you manage to do it yourself? Did you just use movecube etc? Do you also need to do the same going back to uk as coming to oz as in clean everything top to bottom, shoes etc and really go to town on everything. We had a 20 foot container dropped at the house and then just filled it in our own time, it really is easy. The customs people this end were extremely helpful and walked me through the paperwork, all in all it was very painless and MUCH cheaper. We have done the trip a few times over the up years and never worried about going overboard with cleaning in either direction but that's down to the individual.
