Also when we arrive we won't have secured a job. (I'm a carpenter) but we will be able to put a years rent up front if required. fifi69 Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 You shouldn't have any probs. we managed to rent with two large dogs while the rental market was v competitive. Now there is hundreds of rentals, with the prices having to be reduced, I would have thought 6 months upfront would be enough, maybe not even that. ali Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 Not all properties advertise that they will take pets - unless it says 'no pets' it's always worth asking. We had a cat - we had to pay a pet bond (which was returned), some landlords will ask that pets be kept outside and some will ask that the carpets e.g. be cleaned professionally prior to vacating.
