Andy2577 Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 Just looking for some advice ........at the moment my visa agent is waiting to hear back from the Australian immigration regarding lodging my 190 visa . I am due to fly out on the 1st June on my WHV and hopefully in a couple of months time my 190 should be through . My question is this ....I have my two Dobeman's back here in the UK which I want to bring with me but I am just wondering when I should start the process of the vets/rabies/paperwork ? should I start it now or wait until my 190 is through ? My head is telling me wait until the 190 is through before doing anything but my visa agent is extremely confident that I will be granted my visa as I have all the necessary points and I am on the SOL list. When I fly out I will be leaving them with my parents but they can be a bit of a handful as they are very boisterous and ideally I would want them out to OZ as soon as possible .....Just dont know what to do for the best ? any advice would be greatly appreciated :wink: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
House Biatch Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Rabies needs to be started 6 months before they are due to leave the UK. The cost of the vaccinations and blood tests are not that expensive so you may as well do them in anticipation. Most of the other stuff that needs to be sorted could probably wait until you get your visa. Make contact with one of the specialists that do this day in, day out. Do not delay any further but take them to the vets as soon as you possibly can. Your dogs need a clear six months before they can travel - to avoid quarantine that is and I am sure you would not subject your dogs to that ordeal. Yes I know, I was referring to the six months of quarantine that would be required for a do that has not completed the vaccination process.
