Bridgeman Posted April 7, 2015 Share Posted April 7, 2015 We are thinking of going over to the Sunshine Coast from WA on a reccie and have hired a car for a month. If we like the area we may want to stay longer, but have heard that it may be cheaper to lease a car. I have researched a few companies but most seem geared up for companies or for the financial side of things. Just wondering if anyone has done this and/or has any recommendations/suggestions. We're moving over in September and I'm trying to decide whether to book a rental for a month until I buy something, or try and buy something v cheap before we get there & keep at a friends house. srg73 Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Most lease schemes are set up for salary sacrifice as this can be very tax efficient. We rented for 2 weeks and bought within that period. Dependant on your circumstances you maybe able to secure a small amount of credit/loan to assist in establishing an AU credit record.
