MARYROSE02
Have you tried Googling 'Meet Ups?' You can often find social groups that way. https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=meet+ups+hurstville+nsw
Country vic
Have you tried Googling 'Meet Ups?' You can often find social groups that way. https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=meet+ups+hurstville+nsw Members often post about this, from what I can see there may be activities in the main centres but little or nothing outside of that, the groups that are there are very age and activity specific. There is nothing within 80ks of me, and then it's for mums groups, younger age, specialised interests, the nearest group I found that I could go to was about 200ks away. Have you had success with meet up ?? I would think most people posting here are already aware of these other sites, googling for info, and are trying various options as well as here. All I got from joining meet up was romance scam messages, I must admit I was tempted to reply just to see what they said, I didn't of course. Suggesting people go elsewhere reminds me of calling the council (or any other organisation that doesnt do anything other than pay their own wages) then they say ... call the department of anyone but us.... so I call the department of anyone but us... and they say ....call the council.... I say I did, they told me to call you..... the circle game. Edited August 12, 2015 by Country vic

I've been to the library to see what courses and activities are on offer. I've been thinking of voluntary work. Lots of lonely people are trapped in their own homes or nursing homes. As I type I'm sitting with a group of guys I met in the pub. I started talking to then one day. I'm shy but if I push myself to talk to people, some will respond. I talk to people in cafes, pubs, on the street, pushing myself to reach out to other people.. I'm not an extrovert. You cannot force people to like you, but presenting a happy face helps. And don't tell me that it is easier to talk to strangers because I am a guy either.
katie1357
Hi Saz- I had a look on the map and I live in Wentworth point, 35 minutes away from you so we could meet in the middle one time? I am a microbiologist and live with my boyfriend. We have been over here for 2.5 years but we were living in Wollongong for the first year. What do you do? I love dogs. I am 31 x
