MaggieMay24 Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 I was very surprised that the licence has absolutely NO information on it and we need to carry it when we drive (but we don;t need to do that in the UK) . Texas was annoying like that as well, they expect you to have your licence on a night out or even your passport. WTH, who would do that! You need to carry your license in Canada if you're driving as well. I'd never considered any country would do it another way, otherwise how can you prove you are a licensed driver if you're stopped by police? Or we could even have a laminated color copy of the licence and that is acceptable too, even in some Asian countries that I have been to, Including Thailand and India! They just need the licence number off it. For age verification purposes, ok, the originals are important, like to buy alcohol, but we can get a photocard for all that couldn't we?
