lovejarora
It has been more than one and a half month since I have lodged my application but a case officer has not been assigned yet, any ideas how long does it take ??? Cheers :-)
Ozmaniac
Nothing to worry about after only 6 weeks or so. The 'official' Allocation date for 189s is 4 December and the 189 spreadsheet isn't showing any February applications as having been contacted by a CO at this stage. I know it's hard, but you'll probably need to wait 4-6 more weeks to hear from a CO. If you frontloaded medicals and PCCs, you may get a Direct Grant without ever hearing from a CO. lovejarora
Thanks for the reply, I have frontloaded all of the documents and I am going for the medical over the weekend. So I guess I don't have to do anything else. What about Form 80 though ??
benthomas010
You can do form 80 if you want and front lond it (it's a few hours work).. or wait to be asked for it. I was asked for it and wished I had front loaded it. Although that probably only delayed my visa by a week or so. lovejarora
How long did it take for the CO assignation for you ??
benthomas010
I applied on 6th November (after some system troubles ) and was contacted by my case officer early / mid Jan. So just over 2 months. The online visa tracker spreadsheet is the best way of seeing if you are in line with others that applied the same time as you... or if you are slipping behind a bit. But I would say it's a little early to be worried. Good luck :-)
